    Hi everyone

I have an HP Pavilion dv6137tx notebook computer running Windows XP Media Center Edition. Of late, I've noticed that the CD/DVD drive turns on (the light on the front panel turns on) and remains on until I reboot the computer. Also, the drive is unresponsive on such occasions.

Also, sometimes it just pops open by itself.

Can someone please tell me whats going wrong?

    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers
    vivek

I forgot to mention that when the LED is on, the drive isn't recognized in My Computer.

EDIT: HP tells me to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot, which does not solve the problem. So they tell me now to do a full system restore.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Or does HP expect me to perform a full system restore every 2 months or so?
