Hey guys just got a pavilion dv6575us with the tv tuner. I'm having 3 issues and hoping that you guys could help.

1)The hp update software is supposed to check for updates, but it apperently doesn't work as min came with a older geforce driver and the one on the hp is newer yet it didn;t detect it. Hp tech support told me to download the updated hp update, hp help and support and active help. But nothing. Any ideas why this is not working>?

2)As for the tv tuner I installed the software and then installed it and using the included antenna. In media center I set it to analag (antenna) but it wasn't able to pick up anything, what am I doing wrong?

3)With the latest hp drivers my geforce 8400 gets only 3.4 from the windows score while the others are 4.6 otr higher. Anyway to bump my graphics score.

    thanks

I would suggest getting rid of the HP update software. It is not really reliable and doesnt always provide the latest updates. Best method is to either check every month or so at the HP website or sign up for their driver updates service where they will send you an email everytime a driver/software is updated.

3.4 for the 8400M seems to be accurate for stock drivers. You could try the newer video drivers(along with the modded inf) from laptopvideo2go which from what I have heard offers performance improvements as well as a boost in the WEI score.

    Thanks for the reply.

By changing the country in windows media centre and Quickplay I was able to receive some reception, but it's pretty bad. Is this due to the small antenna or can I increase performance? Maybe get a bigger antenna?
