    Hello all,

I was about to buy the dv6500 but wanted to know if there was a pcmcia slot on it. I have tv tuner thats a pcmcia i use on my older acer laptop and I couldn't find anything about pcmcia on dv6500. Is there some kind of alternative to use my pcmcia tv tuner if there is no pcmcia slot? thx

PCMCIA is dead. No new notebooks have that anymore. Get with the times d00d:

Thanks Greg! That's exactly what I was looking for! I guess buying an expresscard tv tuner or a usb tv tuner would be cheaper. Problem is I travel a lot to Asia and Europe for work, and the old pcmcia tv tuner card I have has global support (NTSC, PAL, SECAM). Can anybody please point me to a similar global tv tuner usb or expresscard? Thanks so much!
