    dv6500t for gaming?

    Anybody get one of the new ones for gaming purposes? I think im going to get one and use it for World of Warcraft. Any comments?

    does yours? counting that its the same spec , oh and which resolution is better to get for gaming. i like small fonts. like i use 1280x1024 on a normal 17inch and i would go smaller if i could

    Havn't tried. But WoW ran at max settings on my desktop, which is substantially weaker. It uses an FX5500 if that means anything to you.

    Can it run fps games like half life 2, battlefield 2 with high setting on it?

    It plays Counter-Strike 1.6 amazingly well for me.

    haha...i jsut bought a 6500 for gaming purposes...can't wait to try oblivion on it :)...it will play it well won't it?

    i just found out that it only comes with a 1280x800 screen and that kinda turns me off. i think i might just get the 9500t with the 8600m GS card

    Even with the 8400GS the dv6500 is no gaming machine unless you don't plan on buying any newer games. Off the top of my head I know the Vaio FZ has similar specs at about the same price, except with the 8400gt (which is quite a bit better than the 8400gs)

    That is true. Although the DV6500T can play games, it cannot be considered a "gaming" computer.

    I ran BF2 on medium settings and averaged about 50FPS. I have not benchmarked it with Fraps on high settings, but I'm estimating around 25-30FPS.

    What about Star Wars: BF2, CoD 2, or Operation Flashpoint?

    Damn, I can't wait for Christmas for my laptop :p
