Anybody get one of the new ones for gaming purposes? I think im going to get one and use it for World of Warcraft. Any comments?

It'll run WoW on Max settings.
-
does yours? counting that its the same spec , oh and which resolution is better to get for gaming. i like small fonts. like i use 1280x1024 on a normal 17inch and i would go smaller if i could
-
Havn't tried. But WoW ran at max settings on my desktop, which is substantially weaker. It uses an FX5500 if that means anything to you.
-
WOW will run great on it -
Can it run fps games like half life 2, battlefield 2 with high setting on it?
-
Yes, it can. -
-
I get about 20ish.

Tried Star Wars Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast this morning at full res. no hickups!
-
It plays Counter-Strike 1.6 amazingly well for me.
-
haha...i jsut bought a 6500 for gaming purposes...can't wait to try oblivion on it
...it will play it well won't it?
-
i just found out that it only comes with a 1280x800 screen and that kinda turns me off. i think i might just get the 9500t with the 8600m GS card
-
Even with the 8400GS the dv6500 is no gaming machine unless you don't plan on buying any newer games. Off the top of my head I know the Vaio FZ has similar specs at about the same price, except with the 8400gt (which is quite a bit better than the 8400gs)

I ran BF2 on medium settings and averaged about 50FPS. I have not benchmarked it with Fraps on high settings, but I'm estimating around 25-30FPS. -
What about Star Wars: BF2, CoD 2, or Operation Flashpoint?
Damn, I can't wait for Christmas for my laptop
