CompUSA.com has a dv6605us for $550 after savings and rebate here.

HP still has the 30% off coupon for a few more days, so I could get a dv6500t or dv2500t for about $730 with the specs I want. The CompUSA, with tax, would end up being about $590--so we're talking about $140 difference. The main difference between the two, as far as I can tell, is the processor--a Core Duo vs. an AMD Athlon. But if all I do is internet and word processing does it matter? Is the extra $140 worth the better processor? Is there anything else I'm missing with the CompUSA computer?
