    Intel w/ T7250 comes to $1182. AMD w/ TL-62 comes to $1242.

Skip the recovery discs, you can burn them yourself.

I confg both evenly and I got $1000 for amd and $900 for Intel. Also I have advice one there is a 30% of Hp coupon for anything above $999, and you cannot use 64 bit vista fully unless you are upgrading to 4 GB of ram.

Well, the prices I quoted are configured exactly as in your opening post minus the restore discs. I don't know where you guys are getting your prices from.

64-bit OS is really only necessary if you plan to get 4gb of memory. And I'd vote for AMD (Even though I have Intel in my dv6519tx).

More like the GPU is better at graphics and the CPU is better at encoding - whatever that may be.

Bottom Line: The dv6000t is going to be the better computer at the better price. End of Discussion. Don't know why it took 17 comments to arrive here.

also that price seems high. I got a 2.1ghz AMD with everything that you got minus the TV tuner and mine came down to $733 with the 30% coupon, so you might want to wait a little to get that price lowered.
