    dv6575us No Sound (XP)

    Okay ...I've been using the Triple Play XP guide to set up Windows XP Professional on my new dv6575us.

    So far I have everything working but the sound and the quickplay buttons. I've installed all of the sound drivers from the guide and any threads I could find here. The device manager says that the sound drivers are installed but there are no audio devices listed anywhere. Also, the quickplay buttons don't do anything :confused: .

    Has anyone had this problem?

    i dont know if this is the same, but i just downgraded from Vista to XP and installed audio drivers but it did nothing, so i just let it access theinternet and low and behold i got it working today. try that. i usually access the internet as a last resort, but i nthis case it helped

    Did you install the "High Definition" audio driver from Realtek as well?

    I plan to do the same thing as you so I'm interested in how your situation turns out. Keep us posted. :)
