Okay ...I've been using the Triple Play XP guide to set up Windows XP Professional on my new dv6575us.
So far I have everything working but the sound and the quickplay buttons. I've installed all of the sound drivers from the guide and any threads I could find here. The device manager says that the sound drivers are installed but there are no audio devices listed anywhere. Also, the quickplay buttons don't do anything.
Has anyone had this problem?

Did you install the "High Definition" audio driver from Realtek as well?
I plan to do the same thing as you so I'm interested in how your situation turns out. Keep us posted. -

I'm at work now but when I get home I'll mess with it for a while. -
