if you've been helping me pick out the best laptop i can afford, then ive got another one for you to comment on.

this laptop looks more flashy and such than my previous favorite (Compaq 8510p). it's in white which is sweet and i can customize it to be the same specs as the 8510p
    intel dual core 2.0ghz
    1 gig of ram
    ATI Mobility Radeon X2600
    160 GB 5400 rpm SATA
it comes close to around 1200 for the dv6700t and 1400 for the 8510p
but the latter comes equipped with a three year warranty already, the former i would have to separately purchase one.
but in terms of build quality, could the dv6700t compete with the 8510p?

I don't know about overall build quality, but the keyboard won't be as good as the 8510p.

i barely see any difference between the 6700t and 6500t besides the graphics cards memory size the quality of the laptop i would rate pretty good not as solid as a latitude D830 but good
