I installed the Windows update (automatic update), restarted the computer, additional stuff was installed. Anyway, now it seems that the laptop stops recognizing my external hard-drives. First, it was my iPod, which is set as an ext. hard-drive, I connected it and when I started Mediamonkey, it wasn't showing. So I turned on my ext. hard-drive, it wasn't even displayed on Windows Explorer.

So I restarted the computer and then both were recognized by the laptop so I thought it was a one-time problem. I synced some stuff up and disconnected the hard-drive and the iPod. A few minutes later, I plugged both devices, but again, they're not recognized.

The weird thing is that when I connect them, the Device Disconnect sound is heard, when I disconnect them, the 'Device Failed to Connect' sound is played. I use a dock but it makes no difference if I use it or not.

Anybody has any idea what should I do now?
