    hey all

just want to say this looks like a great community.

i have a big problem. just got a hp dv6746ca and formatted it to put on xp pro. i have that on there now and the drivers are causing me some serious pain. i tried the little program that i found on majorgeeks have on the site "Driver Genius Professional Edition 2007". It can't really have cause one of the drivers i need are the wireless and wired drivers for the card. see there isn't much information on the actual components in the computer.

so i need help finding these drivers. is there a way i can locate the drivers i need without a internet connection. like a program i can use that tells me what drivers i need, and then download them from another computer and put the on a jumpdrive and then put them on my new comp and install them.

here is a list of the drivers that i am unable to find:
Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
    Base System Device
    Base System Device
    Base System Device
    Coprocessor
    Ethernet Controller
    HP Integrated Module
Modem Device on High Definition audio Bus
    N/A
    Network Controller
    SM Bus Controller

Any help would be greatly appreciate and if you need any other information just ask and i will provide it to the best of my ability.

    Thanks in advance

    -Colin

This thread should point you in the reight direction on installing the drivers...

The chipset, ethernet and most likely wifi and bluetooth drivers should be the same or very similar. You might have to adopt it to your particular system but it should help you get started on what to install.
