is there a difference between those two models?

i had to order a recovery media disc because i accidently formatted my recovery partition. i was wondering if there was a difference in those two models because im not sure if i ordered the right one.

The 6100 has automatic graphics switching, while the 6000 is manual. They use different drivers, so the recovery image will be different. If you still have your C: drive working, you should backup your C:\SwSetup folder, as it has all the stock drivers. If you ordered the wrong recovery disc, you may still be able to uninstall the bad drivers, and then use the ones from SwSetup.

thanks! i appreciate the response. hopefully, there isnt too much of a difference that i can still use it. otherwise, i hate dealing with returns through companies like HP.
