I've been looking at these two and I'm really looking for something with a decent graphics card punch that also won't heat up terrible much.

It's okay if it heats up on the bottom or sides, but is the heat kept off the WASD keys at least?

    Thanks

I know on my dv7 when I game the left side of my keyboard gets uncomfortably warm, not "hot", but its really noticeable. I recently got an external keyboard for so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

find out where the CPU and video cards are located, those are going to be the warmest parts, also depending upon HDD, that area may get warm too. I got a Vostro 3450 and it gets slightly warm under load and the vent on the left side throws out some heat..... but the machine it's self does not have anything that gets above 91F
