Hi,
I was having trouble with my N-1000 card staying connected to my router so I (naively) bought an Intel 6235 card at Tigerdirect. First I had the dreaded 'card not supported' problem which I overcame by flashing a new BIOS that does not have a whitelist. Pretty annoyed at HP for adding whitelists to their lappies anyway, no more HP for me!
So now my laptop boots again and drivers were installed fine. The card shows up in device manager as a 6235, woohoo! Trouble is that it won't power up or start. The F12 LED remains orange. My driver version is 15.3.1.2.
Is there some trickery to make this work? I have read various threads related to issues like this but mostly they involve newer models than mine. And here I thought my laptop was still pretty recent! It's already declared dead and buried by HP, relegated to using old wireless hardwareI've also been googling my way to an answer but no luck yet.
Thanks,
Sander
