Hey all, i recently purchased a dv6t-6100 select edition. I have the upgraded 6770m graphics card as well as the integrated intel hd graphics. I have set it to manual switching in the BIOS and have it set on the dedicated 6770m card at the moment but the issue im having is that I get absolutely no performance upgrade when running left4dead2. Im aware of the OpenGL problem with the switching but i was told that the issue doesn't occur if you have the BIOS set to manual switching rather than automatic switching. Please help!!! I am considering returning the laptop even though i really don't want to because i love it other then the graphics issue but i have to return it within another 18 or so days so please respond as soon as possible :)

    All the best

In the switchable graphics menu, is it set to high performance or still power-saving?

Try reinstall the AMD driver from HP. Make sure it is the latest.

Install MSI Afterburner and monitor the graph whether it is using HD6770M to the fullest or not.

its set to high performance. Im still getting around 20-50fps on L4D2 which is pathetic for such an old game....the 6770m should easily run l4d2 at 100+ constant. Afterburner says its on the 6770...
