But does laptop 5650 support Eyefinity in the first place? Old Envy 17" had 5850 and it was advertised to have three display support.

The dv6t-3xxx doesn't have three display support (laptop + hdmi + vga), out of the box.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I don't feel like making a new one.. I wasn't looking for laptop+hdmi+vga.. I'm only looking to do 2 external monitor, cancel my main laptop screen. Is it possible just to use the HDMI + VGA? Im not trying to do 3 screens.. Im looking to buy 2 monitors on black friday.. Do I really need to purchase a vidock?

Hmm I also read that I might need something called display port dongles? Im a bit confused.. any help?

I actually just tried this today, I'm kind of bummed, I wanted to run two externals and the laptop screen, but I can only run 2, no eyefinity :( Does anyone have any idea how to get eyefinity on here? maybe disabling all the drivers and installing regular ATI ones?

As for your questions, you CAN use HDMI+VGA, they work fine, BUT you will probably have to cut the side of the VGA cable, since the two ports are so close, you'll have to cut the part of the VGA cable that has the threaded screw/knob thing. But once you do that (dremel it out, that's what i did, super easy), you'll be set
