    dv6tse heat problems

    A few months ago I purchased a dv6tse (specs below). One of the things I irritatingly noticed was that the fan was ALWAYS on, no matter what power setting I used (active or passive), or that the BIOS "fan always on" was off. My average temps is always above 65C, and averages 70C with basic usage. I tink the only time I was able to get my fans to stop were if I started the laptop, and disabled the wifi. Even then the fan would still come on after 20min or so.

    I'm thinking about getting repairs, but before that, I wanted to know what temps other people are getting

    I've been searching for the same info, and so far what I've come up with is that it idles around mid 50s. Your temps seem high. The temps with these systems seems to be hit or miss, in some cases related to whether the thermal compound was applied competently.
