do all the dv7's in the range have the ability to put a 2nd hard drive inside or it just specific?

im choosing between the dv7-1002 and the dv7-1125EA but i want to know if they have the space to put in another hard drive?

i tried looking on the HP site but there is nothing about it on the site.

    Please help.

very good q. my gut instinct says yes but i do not know this for a fact. you can go to a best buy and ask one of the guys there to confirm. they may or may not know (probably not) but you can maybe ask a tech there if they've opened one up before.

alternatively, i would call the sales # that you would call if you were going to buy one of these units. i would ask the sales person and hopefully they could maybe fwd you to the right person....?

Yes, but if you order one with only one hard drive, you don't have a bracket for the second.

The sata connector for the hard drive is on the motherboard. All dv8000's dv9000's and dv7's have two hard drive bays. All you will need to do is buy a hard drive caddy
