    Thanks for that post +rep. Seems someone stated the U3 is impractical for lap use. I wouldn't be using it ALL the time on my lap, but would like the option.

    The zallman looks very slick. As per amazon its 55~ shipped.

    That's a really good price. Newegg.com has them for 69.99, 59.99 after rebate. And of course there's shipping, and at least for me, sales tax. Wish I had gotten mine for 55.00 shipped.

    How is the performance on this one? How much reduction did you see in temps?

    Most of the fans on the dv6/7 are on the left side and this cooler has 1 big fan in the middle.

    As i stated in my original post, I see about 5 degrees Celsius reduction in temps. It's quiet, has decent airflow, and the entire top is a metal mesh, so air flows out all over the base of the laptop. I like it.
