My sound was working fine, now it only comes through the subwoofer. The right and left speakers don't work and the mute button is always lit (I'm using Vista, not XP). Any suggestions?

Have you tried doing a system restore? Try to choose a restore point that was before that happened. It may fix it and it's really easy, worth a shot maybe, unless the hardware is what's wrong, sounds like the software to me though.

I reinstalled the audio driver and seems to have corrected the problem.

i don't really understand what pple mean when they say it only comes through the sub and not right/left. when you go to sound options and have left or right only does that work?
