    dv7-1135nr help needed!!!

    hey guys i have a hp dv7-1135nr
    it is a dual hdd config dual boot system
    drive 1 vista
    drive 2 xp pro

    this is what happened and the resulting problem.

    the notebook fell off on to the floor ,the power come unplugged and the battery came out,and shut down.

    1 when i started it up it would not boot in to windows xp pro.
    2 hdd is not showing in the device manager even though it is plugged in
    3 the one time it did show windows exployer had to be restarted (viewed from vista)
    4 the num and caps lock flashes 4 times when drive 2 is plugged in

    check disk was preformed and various parts was deleted by it
    i dont remember what the parts deleted was.

    any imput is appreciated. thank u in advance.


    update:
    this is where i am with it so far:

    with the help of a friend the second hdd is showing,and starting up with xp pro
    the problem now with the battery plugged in it wll start up in vista but not xp.
    without the battery it will start up in vista and xp

    any ideas anyone?
