Wanted to get some comments on this model. Father-in-law is interested.
Seems like a decent fit, but he's a little rough on his laptops. Wanted to know if this laptop can survive typical airplane travel. Occasional drop inside of a laptop bag.

    Regards,

    Mike

The laptop should be able to survive occasional airplane travel.

I have the dv6-2000, which is the 15.6" version and it does pretty well -- I have to drop it into a backpack almost everyday. :D The dv7 might be a bit on the large side but it could work. :)

dv7 seems a bit large for airplane travel... maybe opt for a dv6?
