I have a dv7-4180us that I went looking to get a laptop cooling pad today at Microcenter. My first purchase was a Cooler Master that had a large fan in the center that did a good job blowing air up, but did not change the temp of the laptop. The 2nd one I tried was another Cooler Master that had 3 fans that could be moved around. Yet no change.

I was using Lavasys Everest to monitor temp, along with a couple of desktop gadgets as well. There simply was no change when ever I loaded up anything CPU or GPU intensive (Games, VMs).

So what do others recommend to get this laptop to cool down some?
