I am looking to buy a new laptop and am leaning toward the dv7t at the moment. I am pretty much a noob when it comes to this stuff so I am looking for a little help. I am looking for a higher end laptop with all the most recent stuff (montevina) so that it will last for several years. I read somewhere on here that the stuff released thus far for montevina is not everything that will be, and more will be coming out in the following months. Is that true? If I buy the dv7t this week will there be better new stuff available (HP or other company)? Also I initialy wanted a 1920x1200 screen, any chance they come out with that res in the future?

Sorry for such a noob question, but will there be more montevina updates in the coming months, or does the dv7t have everything? I just don't want to buy it then have better stuff come out from other companies. Thanks!

WiMax still needs to be released with the new Monevina chipset, And I also assume that HP will utilize the DDR3 Ram capability of Montevina with a new motherboard in the future. This is all pure speculation though. I need one for college so I am ordering it soon, if you dont need it now I would wait untill september.
