I'm wondering if there's any way to use the tuner to pick up cable channels...the dorm i'm living in only has a singular coaxial cable port...is there any way i can tap into that?

I'm planning on doing the same thing bud, buying my quad-shielded coaxial today at radioshack. Make sure to get the best coaxial you can buy, because in dorms there will be a lot of interfierence with the wireless signals.

Well, there aren't any wireless routers in my dorm, everything's hardwired...so i don't plan on getting too much interference...still, i'm going to assume its worth spending the extra few bucks.

A lot of kids install wireless routers so they can get internet from around the room more easily, but it seems like I dont need to do much convincing to have you go with the better cable ;)

So there's a coaxial port on the dv7t? I mean, the only thing i can see that remotely looks like one from pictures i've seen is the AC Adaptor port on the right-hand side.

coax adapter. Small yellow thing to the left of the power adapter plugin. Converts with a thing to coax.
