Anyone care to comment on the 1600x900 screen on the dv7t quad edition... Is it clear and bright, how are the viewing angles?

I was looking at machines with 1080p screens but you can put together a hell of a dv7t right now so wondering how good the screen is.

Nobody has received theirs yet. You'll have to wait at least a week for an answer.

I suspect it's the same 200nit screen as found in my lowly G72. If I'm correct, you can view one at your local office superstore.

So nobody has one yet... hmm... and they have changed the color of the casing from dark umber to silver?

Does anyone know if the trackpad has real buttons this time around or if they are part of the trackpad?

The picture is probably just wrong... for now.

The buttons are discrete ("real" buttons).

With to the larger screen real estate and higher resolution compared to the smaller dv6tqe, will I see any difference?

Yea, but unfortunately I need a notebook before then, and what drew me back to HP was the wonderful deals going on now. If they had 1/2 as good a deal Id buy an envy but no such luck.

Lol, yes there is and I watched it... can't see alot of detail and I think its rendered graphics not real machine so it doesn't help much especially with questions like screen viewing angles and such.

If they had such a deal for the envy's then the DV7/6 would not sell at all...anyways its a bummer...
