i purchased my dv7tqe around 9 months ago, and for a while now ive had a problem with my internet connectivity.

everything will be all well and good, then it will say "limited or no connectivity" and i wont have internet access...

it can be remedied by unplugging the ethernet cable, and plugging it back in, but its very annoying.

im assuming that the RealTek PCIe GBE Family Controller is where the problem is, its running 7.41.216.2011 and it says its up to date.

i have no idea what is causing this, but its driving me nuts

Are you sure that your cable fits right in place, with "click" sound? It might be the problem. Another possible solution, have you tried to reinstall windows and/or reinstalling stock HP drivers, provided with your laptop? If you download the latest drivers, that doesn't mean that you will get better connectivity or performance.
