Well I found an issue that Hp hasn't even found yet. It is kind of intresting if you ask me.

    Model Hp Pavilion dv8000t

    The Issue:

I have confirmed this issue on 3 Laptops and would liek to see if you see the same issue. When you gop to create a new login account under Windows Media Center, it creates the account perfectly, you than log off to log back in under the newly created account. You than try to access your 2nd Hard drive "D:" and when you try to select a fold it says access denied. It doesn't matter if you set the new account under admin or limited the error still happens. if you boot under Safe Mode and log into the admin account you still get the same issue.

If anyone has a HP dv8000t please check this out and let me know if you run into the same issue. I got hp tech looking into it, but who knows what they will come up with....

Log in with the account which gives you access. Then go to HDD 2 and set the permissions (right click on the disk, properties, security). Add the new account and you should be fine.
An alternative would be (actually for WinXP Home this might be the only way)to log in under Safe Mode as Admin and take the ownership of the second HDD. Then set the permission levels.

The laptop has nothing to do with this problem. This is strictly software.
