I just partitioned my hard drive using partition magic and after making 5 partitions my hard drive space shows as 74 GB out of 80 GB. I have made partitions before but a loss of 6 GB seems too much. Did anyone try partitioning. What is your default hard drive space. Looking forward to some replies. Thanks.

Yeah that seems about right. I have an 80GB hard drive but I only can use 74.5GB of it. That is just how it is. :p

    74.5 * (1024 ^ 3) = 79993765888, or about 80,000,000,000 bytes. I'm not sure who's marketing weasles started calling a kilobyte 1,000 bytes when convenient first but they're all doing it now.
