Just recently got my new dv8000t and have noticed it has a substantial amount of light-leakage from both the left and right side of the screen where the seams aren't tight enough. The screen still seems sharp and it isn't really noticable except in a dark room. Is there any reason I should send it in for service or is this no big deal and a common phenomenon? I'm discouraged because my dv8280us which uses the exact same case has no light-leakage what-so-ever.

Light leakage is fairly common on LCD screens, almost every screen has a small amount. I personally wouldn't send it in unless it is bothering you.
