A friend of mine just received the HP dv8000z he bought on my recommendation and it didn't include the required bracket to mount a second HD. That, in and of it self, is merely annoying, but HP will only sell him a ludicrously overpriced HD kit and not the bracket by itself. Before he returns it to HP and buys a MSI MS-1036 17" Turion notebooks (with the MT40 CPU and X700 GPU that HP doesn't offer, and 1.3MP webcam, no second HD bay though), anyone have any advice on getting HP to cough up a HD bracket?

He already had a 120GB 5400RPM HD he never got around to swapping into his previous HP notebook. That was going to be the second drive.
