I reformatted and installed Win XP Pro, got all the drivers from the HP site except for the media card reader. Any ideas where to get it? Thanks.

See the Software and Driver Downloads link on hp.com, tell it you have a Pavillion dv80xxz series notebook.

Thanks, I thought of trying other notebook software downloads this morning, and just picked a few till I found one that had a media card driver and it worked. Don't even know which model it was, a DV5000 I think. Can't imagine why they don't show it on the dv8225nr download page. I still show a pci device in device manager which doesn't have a driver, but everything I can use works, it may be for one of the pc card slots. I'll fiddle with it this week. Thanks again for the reply.
