I sent my dv9000CTO in for repair. They changed the "System Board" to fix a video problem.
I went to update the BIOS to the latest version to be able to go to 4Gb of RAM, and the BIOS would not install. I did an "auto-detect" and it came back and identified the PC as a dv9200CTO!!
What does this mean to me as far as features go. Did I lose anything?![]()
It's bad enough it came back with less memory than I sent it in with (2Gb, came back with only 1Gb), now I'm not sure what the heck I have. This thing is a lot slower than it ever was.

did you call hp and tell them

I called them about the RAM but not about the "9200" thing. I'm still waiting for a response from them about the RAM.

they replaced the board to a newer model. Thats why its probably showing up as 9200CTO

I bought Everest. Here is my screenshot. I see that they gave me back some 64 bit RAM. How nice of them.
Can you tell from this screen if I can go buy 2 2Gb sodimms and go to 4Gb? It seems to say so, but I want to be sure.
