I have a dv9035nr and have been researching battery alterrnatives and/or external batteries to no avail. So far, all I've found is OEM or replacement OEM types with similar life. I'd love to get a "big" external battery to really boost battery life if possible.

    Anyone else have any luck?

Go look at BatteryGeek.com...I bought a battery from those guys. I did have to go to RadioShack to get the correct plugs though. I get about 2-3 hours off the "extra" battery and then another 2 or LESS off the main battery. The battery from BatteryGeek.com will actually act as if you are on "shore" power until it exhausts.

After looking, if you have any questions, I can go look up model numbers, etc. I recall getting the larger of the two for about $165.00.
