I am currently taking apart my dv9000 to remove a big dust bunny from the fan and cannot figure out how to remove the top cover. I have followed the HP manual to the letter but I appear to have a phantom screw. The top cover (which is all the plastic between the keyboard and the front of the machine) appears to be stuck on something around the little button that disables the touch pad. I think it would give and come off if I forced it but I really don't want to break anything that I don't have to. Is there something I am missing or is the plastic just really stuck down?

Hopefully this is enough information to help solve the problem. If pictures or something would help more please say so and I will post as soon as possible.

    Thanks in advance.
