I just got mine (dv9000z) yesterday but I don't know how to do any of the tests so I figured a review by me would be useless...

I can tell you that I sent two dv2000t's back in the past month for seriously defective touchpads so I was kind of worried that the 9000 could have the same problem but the touchpad is excellent.

So far, it's fast, quiet and doesn't feel that hot after using it for a couple hours. The battery only lasted about 1.5 hours with the screen at full brightness and the wireless on.

The screen is amazing! I'm glad I opted for the WSXGA+ 1680x1050.

    My configuration: Turion(TM) 64 X2 Mobile TL-60 (2.0GHz), 17.0" WSXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1680x1050), 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600, 2.0GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x1024MB), 80 GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive
