I just bought a dv9000t series, and I'm fooling around with the TV setup in Media Center.

I have the laptop connected to my plasma TV via VGA. In the Media Center settings, I chose a flat panel display connected via VGA. When I play live TV, it still outputs the TV signal on the laptop, and nothing shows up on my VGA input on the TV.

I know I can get the overall laptop video to the TV using the Fn-F4 keys, but I'm really hoping MCE will just output TV to the VGA output automatically without my having to do anything. Does it work this way?

Shouldn't the signal be re-routed to the TV? Is there a display setting that I'm missing or perhaps haven't turned on?

Anyone else have any experience with MCE's Live TV output to a TV?

    Thanx in advance!
    Jay

Right click on the desktop, choose Nvidia Display (while the Plasma is hooked up), and try playing around with the "nView Display Settings" area. You may need to override your laptop by making the plasma the primary display.
