hey so I wanna use the S-video out feature here but the connector is not the standard 4-pin Svideo, how many pins should I be looking for? Ive counted 7-pins, i have seen 8-pin in amazon.com. anyone got the pic of the one that works with this and whether it was in fact called the 7 or 8-pin? Just wanna make sure cuz the pic in amazon doesnt show it that well.

also does the extra pins equal audio output as well? cuz the one im seeing is 8-pin with audio output from that as well...

a video card's S-Video out is almost always 7 pin. Just use a 4 pin cord. The extra pins are actually just for extra things that your Svideo port can potentially do, like ViVo, or HDTV out.

hmmm cuz i had tried before with a 4 pin cable, not with this laptop though and it didnt work, so i guess for whatever reason it needed the full 7 pin one. the one im looking at has 8 pins (though its probably 7 methinks) and has 4pin out with RCA audio so thats why i was wondering if maybe the HP laptop outputted audio via this too...
