I was looking into the dv9000t and see that they have two different types of 8 Cell batts to choose from.
I read the review here http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3422&Review=HP+dv9000t
and the reviewer didn't say if it was the hi-cap batt that he or she got or not.

The specs of the one I'm looking into would be similar except slower core 2 duo, lower res. screen and only one HDD.

Also does anyone know if you can fit two batts in this thing at once vs. the two HDD's??

thanks for any info you can give.

The High capacity will last a little longer. By how much I am not sure. The cells in the high capacity battery store (I think), about 15% more charge. I don't think the notebook has the ability to use two batteries at the same time. You have to chnage them manually.

The notebook cannot hold two batteries at once. They have a much different shape from the optical drive slot, where the extras normally go. I chose to get a single regular 8-cell battery. The battery life on the high capacity isn't really worth the money in my opinion. I would rather pay a little more to get two regular 8-cell batteries and have twice the life, as opposed to only ~30min increase if even that much. Thanks for reading my review and great choice on the laptop. It is the best one I have ever owned, and I am more than happy with it.

well it would have been an added bonus to fit two batteries at a time, but I still think I am going to go with this model.

The price difference between an extra regular batt and two hi cap ones is only $20 so I guess I'll go all out with them.

    from the website...
Extra 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
Get two 8-cell batteries so that you'll always have enough power!
    +$129.00
Two High Capacity 8 Cell Lithium Ion Batteries
    +$149.00

Well, I believe I am convinced...now for the wife.
