dv9000t in UK/Canada

First of all sorry if I am posting in the wrong place.

My brother in UK is looking to buy a laptop. After looking at some models we settled on the dv9500t. Configured it on the USA site and it came to about 1300$, so its just about in the budget too.

He has the option of buying it from UK or from Canada. Problem is I cannot find the same model anywhere on any UK or Canadian sites. Is this model only available in USA? Does it have a different name in UK/Canada?

Would be great if someone could point me into the right direction. Also, if not dv9500t what other model in the price range would you suggest? My needs are c2d, HDMI out, and should be able to run some recent games moderately well.

sorry, I meant the HP Pavilion dv9500t not 9000 as I had posted earlier. Edited my post. Can a mod please edit the main title too?
