    dv9000t to dv7z

    Got a DV9000 with the bad Nvidea card. Sent it back in for repair and the repaired unit failed again.

    thinking of selling it when it gets back and buying a DV7z

    * Can I use the 8 cell battery from my DV9000 in the DV7z?

    * I have Ultra brightview in my DV9000 and like the brightness of the display. Is there an equivalent in the DV7z? As I understand it the Ultra Brightview had 2 lamps in the display. Is the standard HP brightview similar? Or is that the HP brightview infinity? Or does the infinity refer to something else?

    I liked my HP but I'm steering way clear of the Nvidea card after 2 identical failures in suce a short time.

    Because Nvidea cards are in the news failing all over the place, and my display rapidly degraded from plaid patterns to a no boot black screen. Sent back and repaired out of warranty but no charge by HP, then had the exact same problem repeat itself yesterday.
