I got the new CTO dv900t yesterday, but I notice there are
dark patch in bottom left and right corner of LCD screen.
It's only about 1/4 inch in size. Is this normal for most dv900t?

Do you think I should return it and get another one?

return it while you still can, if you pay that much for a notebook.. might as well make it worth it.. you dont want to suffer in the long run my friend.

Drop off in the corners is normal.

Go down to your local vendor and look at their units, better yet take your unit with you and put it side by side with one of their units so the lighting is the SAME on both when you compare.
The one I saw the other day had a very slight amount of drop off.... very slight, like 1/8.

Yeah I have a drop off and dead pixel in those corners. It distorts the color a little bit. It is not noticeable when the start bar is up but a full-screen uniform color will show distortion.

No it is not normal since I have had other laptops that did not have it. It is a manufacturing defect or design flaw. You are better off going to another brand.

I have also seen the spacebar on a number of keyboards are uneven. The left side is higher than the right. I have also noticed significant wear patterns in the plastic of the keyboard after only 2 weeks. I had a toshiba that didn't show this type wear during a longer time periods.

Bottom line the quality of HP laptops is poor. Check out other brands.
