Just for anyone that has wondered, I just installed a pair of mushkin 2GB SODIMM sticks in my dv9010us and it works just fine. BIOS recognized the memory out of the box, Windows Server 2008 can see and use all of it, and passed a 8 hour exhaustive memory test. I declare the "2GB Max" limit bogus.

Presumably this will work with any Pavilion dv9000 series that has the AMD Turion 64 X2 processor. Mine has the integrated graphics in the nForce chipset. Maximum memory was supposed to be 2GB, but 4GB is definitely supported.

    Here's exactly what I'm running from NewEgg ($59.99 after rebate) mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Laptop Memory
