I'd like to run multiple displays on my dv9207us. What are my options? I'm unclear on whether or not the xb3000 dock allows you to use an additional display, or just replaces the builtin display.
Are there other options?
I used to have a Dell with a dock that allowed me to use one external display connected directly to the notebook (instead of the builtin display), and a second display connected through the dock. Can I do this with the xb3000?
Finally, can the dv9207us continue to run while the lid is closed?

You mean multiple external displays, or one external and the builtin display at the same time?
You can easily use an external monitor along with ur lcd, but I'm not sure about running multiple external displays, maybe someone else can chip in.\
Also, there's no reason why a laptop cannot run when the lid is closed. -
I've had tons of issues trying to get my 9207us to play correctly on my LCD tv. the dell i used to have worked great for this. I'm unable to run in "clone" mode but that may be due to the fact my tv wont support the same res as my laptop. but that shouldnt be an issue. also when trying to watch a movie i cant get it to display in widescreen.

I have a quickdock, and when I'm using the VGA out on the quickdock, the VGA out on my notebook is disabled (or so my instruction manual claims, I've never really tried it). So aside from using TV out, I'm unable to have any more than 2 displays (external LCD, and laptop LCD).
You can continue running with the lid closed, but you have to go to Windows power settings and make sure it isn't set to sleep when the lid is closed (default sleeps when lid is closed).
