My notebook is maybe 8 months old, so it is a little early to be having problems but... For the last couple of months, the touchbar has been randomly beeping and changing my volume without my touching it (i think it is due to static, but the power cord is 3 pronged). Now, it has stopped working, and to boot, one of the sets of LEDs has died. I know, i am still under hp warranty, but i am going to wait for the full year and then bring it back to Best Buy to have them repair this. I like this laptop, but this isn't the first issue with it. Is anyone else having a problem with theirs?

I've never had a problem with the touchpad on mine, but the wireless internet did go out and that is a known problem with the dv6000. Anyways, I'd send it in and get it repaired. If you bought a warranty with it you can wait for however long you want, but if you didn't buy a warranty, make sure you bring it in for repair before the year is up.

Also, for those of you purchasing a laptop from a reseller, I strongly urge you to purchase the warranty through HP. If you purchase the warranty through a reseller it usually takes longer for you to get your laptop fixed. The reason for this is because the reseller, for example Best Buy, will try to fix it first and will take anywhere from 3-5 days. The only way they can fix laptops is if it is only a software issue, if it is hardware they will send it back to HP. So why should you wait for them to try and fix it, instead of dealing directly with HP?
