    dv9500 Santa Rosa - Can it support quad core?

    Will the HP dv9500t be able to support quad core processors or is a different chipset / motherboard required.

    The new Sager NP9261 supports Quad Core processors and it is already out. I actually returned my dv9500t to save a little more money and buy it. It also supports either 8700GT SLI or 7950 GTX SLI (I'm hoping the go 8800 comes out soon), 800Mhz RAM, has three HDD bays with RAID capability, and the list goes on. It is a beast of a laptop and I can't wait to get it.

    I doubt that the dv9500t will be able to support a Quad Core.

    The Sager has desktop quads in it. You'll never get one into a dv9500t, mobile or otherwise......
