    Hi everyone

On my laptop I am getting an electrical interference sound (a sort of smooth crackling) through headphones and/or external speakers attached through headphones jack.

If I open a program I can “hear” it opening in interference. This sound is NOT present when listening through the built in speakers. It is also not present when I use my Hercules USB DJ controller (which has its own external sound card).

My set up is an HP Pavillion dv9500. I have updated to the latest driver for the soundcard.

    Any ideas?

    Ed

Try reinstalling the Quicktouch drivers, they also run your IR board where the jacks plug in.
