I've read a few threads about this seemingly common issue, and was wondering if there was a permanent solution to the problem.

I've tried flashing the BIOS, and shutting down the computer, removing the battery and holding the power button for 45 seconds. Both of the aforementioned attempts produced only a temporary fix.

Also, at random intervals, the right-side buttons (play, skip, etc.) only do one function, and that is that they bring up the DVD screen. This also randomly occurs while I type, albeit rarely. Any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue?
