Anyone running this BIOS? HP site says the date on it is July 6, 2007. Here's what is says in the update:

    • Fixes issue where notebooks with 4-GB of memory that are running a Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit Operating System cannot access Memory Stick (MS) or xD-Picture Card (XD) media.
    • Fixes issue where the notebook would incorrectly enter the Boot menu after exiting from F1 System Information.

What's the question? If there is a BIOS upgrade available, there isn's a reason NOT to upgrade, if you feel comfortable with flashing your BIOS. Make sure to not turn the computer off when you are flashing!

Orev, the only difference I notice is the quickplay buttons seems more responsive and accurate.

A BIOS upgrade is risky, as you can brick your system if you're not careful. Also, even though it's been released, some serious bugs can crop up once they're out in the wild. So it's good to know or talk about these issues before everyone runs the upgrade.

On my Shuttle system, their POV is that you should NOT upgrade your BIOS unless there's specifically an issue that it fixes that's causing you problems. Their upgrade process is a lot more fragile though (which was a problem in itself, I bricked my system at least twice).

Anyway, the question was if anyone was having new problems after going to this BIOS. I updated and so far it's going fine.
