    Hi all,

Im downgrading a DV9689ea to XP with Realtek audio chip ALC268 and regardless of which driver I try the mic is soo quiet. All boost and volume options are on and up.

Tried the latest Realek driver WDM_R184.exe and went back a few revisions too. Also tried A siemens driver all with the same result.

    Anyone beaten this problem ?

Who could have predicted hardware that wasnt XP compatable this soon... but then all would be resolved if HP had written XP soundcard drivers for their Vista machines with crap microphones.... realtek and conexant.
