I just got a dv9700t this week and did a fresh install of Vista Home Premium using the WAU DVD, reinstalled drivers, and then completed "windows update".
Windows Update is showing the following new drivers (as "optional") and I am wondering if I should install them:
- Intel WiFi Link 4965AGN (published 1/26/08)
- NVIDIA 8600M GS (published 2/1/08)
- Realtek GigE Driver (published 11/2/07)
Any advice?![]()

i tried to do it once on a system, and everything worked fine, except for the sound driver, which i had to reinstall the original for. You can always install these and if you have any issues with the driver, you can roll-back the driver and it should work again.

Dont EVER download drivers from windows update. A couple of people has had problems doing so mainly because of wrong driver and incompatibility
Download from either the HP website or manufacturers website.
Only use windows update as a last resort, like if you really cant fix it or find the driver -
All of your drivers should be found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3650971
I did a fresh install and used the ones from HP's site rather than Windows Update. G-Luck & have fun! -
